January 2008: So Special

The publication of MIMI's January 2008 issue marks MIMI's three anniversary! With the ushering in of a new year, and the celebration of going three years strong, MIMI has changed its layout—but not to worry, the same engaging content that you have come to expect from MIMI will continue to be delivered. Nigerian dancer Celestina Aladekoba is this issue's cover girl; you can read all about Celestina in the article The Way She Moves. In this issue of MIMI, you will also be introduced to first time African chick-lit author Ekene Onu, who wrote the engaging novel The Mrs. Club, find a review of Cape Verdean singer Mariana Ramos's new CD Mornador, view a sampling of South African designer Bongiwe Walaza's spring/summer collection and read a host of articles to get you on track for 2008.

I was wondering if anybody knew if this magazine is or will be making its way to North America, particularly Canada b/c we tend to be so isolated from all the great stuff coming out of there.
