The quality of these movies is MUCH better than the "typical" Nollywood movie but the US/UK influence is also VERY obvious---I dont think it's a coincidence that both these films are about Nigerians (or in Gene's case Liberians) living abroad. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Time will tell if the classic stories about Nigerians in Nigeria keep being told.

Finally, the african movie industry is getting the message. Quality over quantity. I'll rather they spend a year to produce one good movie than 12 months of 10 horrible productions.
