(( Written By: Staff Writer )) Otelo Burning, an award-winning film inspired by true events set in the South African township of Lamontville in 1989 against a backdrop of brewing conflict, tells the story of a group of township kids who discover freedom through surfing. The movie opened across South Africa this past May, but for everyone who is not in South Africa, the story as told through the music of Zaki Ibrahim, Tumi, and many other talented artists is available to download for free on the Otelo Burning Mixtape, available from the film's official website.
